Here are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us via phone or email.
Do you have the big cans on wheels?
Even better, we allow YOU to choose your can. You can use a large can on wheels (we have 95 gallon trash carts available for purchase, and we deliver free of charge – please call our office to order) or go with smaller, more manageable cans if you choose. All we ask is that it has a lid, and don’t you worry about losing that. We put the lid back on for you!
What should I do with really heavy items?
The best solution is to use more bags and more cans. A 50 gallon can full of loose grass clippings may be too heavy for our driver to lift. If they are bagged into manageable loads we can easily take them for you without using the winch. We generally prefer to not use the winch on your heavy cans as it may damage the can itself. Other items to package in small quantities include spoiled food, cat litter, magazines, leaves, pumpkins, carpet, and anything wet. Also, for anything larger such as appliances and furniture, you may contact us to schedule a bulk pick up on the second Friday of the month. For more information on bulk pick up please check under the services or schedule tabs.
When will my garbage be picked up?
When our trucks fill up, we need to go out to the landfill, so we cannot give specific times to our customers. We ask that all of your trash be at the curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled service day, and we will do our best to pick it up before 7:00 PM.
Our free, voluntary recycling program is offered at your curbside. Please sort & bag your recyclables by type, i.e. tin cans in one bag, paper in one bag, etc…(reuse your plastic grocery sacks.)
We recycle the following items:
Aluminum (soda cans)
Newspaper, magazines, paperboard (i.e. cereal boxes)
Tin cans (soup or vegetable cans)
We are unable to process plastics or glass for recycling.
